Marion/Polk Chapter Information...

Our chapter has been active for over 30 years in the greater Salem area. We encompass West Salem, Dallas, Silverton, Scio, Stayton, Sublimity and many more.
We hold our education and business meetings on the 4th Tuesday of each month, except for the summer months. The location is the Salem Hospital Auditorium on Winter St.

Education begins at 6:00 PM with the business meeting following at 7:00 PM.

Education is always the fourth Tuesday of the month except for July, August and December when we do not meet. Meetings are held at the Salem Hospital Auditorium at 6:00PM with the business meeting to follow.


Marion-Polk Chapter President Report: Summer 2008

On behalf of Marion-Polk Chapter, I would like to say welcome to our newest members. We would love to have you attend one of our meetings. The Marion-Polk Chapter of Medical Assistants meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month in the Salem Hospital auditorium, located in the basement of the hospital. Education begins at 6:00 p.m. and the business meeting will follow at 7:00 p.m.. We encourage new members or any interested member to attend the business meeting and see how the “work” of the Chapter gets done. We enjoy hearing new ideas and thoughts from our members.

Marion-Polk Chapter installed a new Chapter President in March. Debbie Smith, CPC, CPC-P, was installed this year. She will serve a one year term as Chapter President. If any member of Marion-Polk Chapter is interested in serving on a team or possibly running for an officer position for next year, you are encouraged to attend a meeting and see what it’s all about.

The educational opportunities are also great and informative and provide the valuable CEUs that all Certified Medical Assistants need to keep their credential current. Plan to attend our meeting. The Marion-Polk Chapter of Medical Assistants takes off the summer months, but will be restarting in September with regular education and meetings.
