Oregon Society of Medical Assistants is a tri-level structure dedicated to professionals like you. There are eight (8) classifications of membership; one just right to meet your needs:
Active: Any Certified Medical Assistant; or an active member who has maintained continuous membership since 12-31-87. Associate: a medical assistant who is not yet an AAMA Certified Medical Assistant, and does not fall into any other membership category. Affiliate: one who has an interest in medical assisting but does not fall into any other category. Sustaining: a member (2 years) who has retired from medical assisting and who has not entered into any other profession. |
Student: one who is enrolled in a medical assisting program carrying a minimum of six hours per week per term. A student membership may be retained for one additional dues year. Honorary: shall be one not eligible for any other category of membership, but has made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of medical assisting and/or the Oregon State Society. Life: a member who has been awarded this membership by the House of Delegate of the Oregon State Society. Member at Large: one who meets all requirements for membership but has no component chapter in the area of residence. |
Annual dues include membership in your local chapter, Oregon Society of Medical Assistants (OSMA) and American Association of Medical Assistants, (AAMA) our national affiliate.
