2013 OSMA Post Conference Board Highlights
The new Mission and Vision Statements for OSMA will be incorporated into the OSMA Bylaws Document.
The Communications Team (formerly: Publication Team) is working on updating the OSMA Website. They will maintain Facebook, and create Twitter and LinkedIn accounts. There are several new members on this team.
The OSMA Leadership Training will be held the last weekend of February 2014 at the Canyon View Camp. The camp is located just outside of Silverton. Watch the website for registration information. This is open to members and students. It is a great retreat style event. Get to know other members and learn about leadership type of information for your daily work and for your own personal growth.
The 2013 Conference Committee reports positive feedback for the ONE DAY House of Delegates that we did this year. The 2014 Team will keep this in mind for planning of the 2014 Conference.
Several changes and updates took place with our OSMA Bylaws. Many of these had to be done in order to stay in compliance with the AAMA national Bylaws. We also updated and changed several of the OSMA Bylaws. The updated version will be posted on our OSMA website. All members are encouraged to download a copy for their own reference.
Due to the Bylaws changes, our Board Manual will also be updated this year. A copy is available for all Board members from Kathy Puckett, CMA(AAMA).
Exciting News: The 2016 OSMA Conference will be in combination with the WSSMA (Washington) Conference! We have decided to join forces for that meeting. We will share education, meals, facility, but hold separate Board and House of Delegate meetings. There will be committees forming soon.
A huge Thank You goes to Bill Honeycutt who has personally donated a multi-use printer/copier to OSMA for secretarial use. Thanks so much!!
