Betty Hill Award
Betty Hill Award Winner for 2010
This year’s Betty Hill Award winner for 2010 is:
Brenna Clayton, CMA (AAMA)
From Marion Polk Chapter
This award was established by OSMA in 1979 in loving memory of Betty Hill, who was OSMA President 1974-1975. She exemplified unselfish contribution and dedication to the goals of OSMA, not only as an officer, but in all aspects of its activities. She exhibited outstanding leadership qualities in drawing for the best performance of member participation. She always gave 100 percent of herself on behalf of the Oregon Society. Each year, members of this society who have demonstrated truly outstanding service to OSMA are considered for the award. Those members having given outstanding service within a short period of time, or over a long period of time, are potential recipients of this award. The Betty Hill Award represents OUTSTANDING SERVICE to the Oregon Society of Medical Assistants, and it s treasured by those whose efforts are recognized by their fellow OSMA members.
This year’s recipient certified to be a CMA in 1987 and has been a dedicated, loyal and committed member of OSMA since 1989, and she has served as a delegate to OSMA since 1992.
One person writes for the recipient, “She has truly demonstrated a huge commitment to Oregon Society of Medical Assistants.
Another writes “from the first day as a medical assisting student, to a student extern, to a new medical assistant, to a valued volunteer, and to the experienced Certified Medical Assistant that she is today, she has always exemplified hard work, dedication and the caring spirit for her patients and her medical assisting peers”.
Another writes “When reading the job description and expectations for the position the she holds on her chapter level and state level, she exceeds in every way.
She never missed an OSMA meeting and is very dedicated to her job. She has been chapter treasurer since 1992 and state treasurer since 2004”.
